My Background

Born and raised here (California). My family has always been actively for the UNION, as far back as I can remember actually. My Grandfather was a member of the Iron Workers Union, he was one of the men involved in building the Vincent Thomas Bridge here in the Port of Los Angeles. My Grandmother was involved in Aerospace, even sent the first man to the moon! Then there was my stepfather who was active in the Refinery Workers Union and the IBEW. So as you can imagine I had my share of "upbringing under union law".

Then there was the Military side...My brother Shaun Doheney who is currently a part of the U.S. Marine Corp. as a 1st Lt. in the anphibious assault team. my Grandfather William Doheney who served in vietnam, part of the 1st airborne division, my uncle Clyde Doheney who has been active with U.S. Air Force and last but not least my stepfather John again ringing in with his duty to the U.S. Coast Guard.

Then there is me...I am a member of DAR (Daughter of the American Replublic) and a complete UNION SUPPORTER and a husband a member of the Teamsters Local 986. I enjoy many things from Music to Humanitarian issues! I find myself getting involved in EVERYTHING, even when it does not include me :) When I believe in something, I believe STRONGLY, I think that is why I started this website to begin with.

MY FRIENDS & I

Well it all started when my husband showed me a message board that contained posts from co-workers and management...Well that's all it took! I started reading, saw some posts I did not like or agree with and quite honestly couldn't really believe! and yep...IT WAS ON! I tend to get fired up on certain issues, and do not ask me why, i couldn't tell you.

My husband who has worked for Emery Worldwide for many years now, ok so now it's Menlo Worldwide, same issues, same problems, same good points....is also a supporter of the UNION and a supporter of people's rights. He was responsible for getting the Mechanics at Menlo UNIONIZED! yep he is now known as "Dear Mr. Bitch." (inside joke that just really suits him!) Well then I decided to get involved on the board, VERY INVOLVED.

I met some really incredible people, Emerybride, Papasix, Mach, Emerygoingdown, Chucklotto, donnaandsamlongo, yourbuyersagent, reddevil, sharpjuan, Cargostory, Knuckleheadlax and so many more, even some idiots such as Sambradies of the board, cant even remember the rest....needless to say that after having been through one too many catfights on that cnf yahoo board, we all decided to enjoy eachothers company on a "neutral" board....mine. Those guys are still around supporting me/us with their presence and of course the idiots are still around to try my patience...so they think.
